At WordCamp Mumbai, Nirav Mehta will talk about Dream Chasing: Unusual Lessons in Personal And Business Sucess.
There is a storm of challenges and opportunities coming to WordPress soon. Will you grow or perish? How can you increase your odds of achieving your dreams? What mistakes should you avoid? What tactics can you use?
Nirav has seen a lot in two decades of his entrepreneurship journey in the open source world. And he’s got hundreds of stories to tell you.
But since the organizers can’t allow him to occupy the stage forever, he’s picking four of his best real life stories!
And as you actively listen to them, you will learn:
The surprising discovery and application of 10x growth formula
Gut wrenching struggle with cutting edge technologies and a survival principle that works all the time…
One “default” mindset we need to alter to succeed
How to diagnose when you’re in a messy downward spiral, and how to recover quickly…
If you are wondering how to deal with increasing competition in the WordPress world, or if you are having a hard time learning JavaScript and React, or if you’re confused about what can give your career a better direction, or if you simply want someone to empathize with your struggle, this is one session you certainly want to attend.
The stories are from WordPress, WooCommerce and the larger open source economy, but you will find lessons you can apply for all your dreams here.

Important announcement!
Dear WordPress Community Members,
We are ecstatic to conduct WordCamp Mumbai this year, and just like every year that we have been conducting, our joy knows no bounds. But every year there have always been slight changes here and there which made this humongous event a tiny bit difficult. But we have always been through due to strong help from the community, and we have never found the need to share the challenges we have faced before. Until now.
We are scaling down WordCamp Mumbai 2019
We were aiming for around 800 attendees (last year we had 700 attendees) but we are scaling down to around 300 to 400 attendees due to the late announcement. As you may have realized we have had to delay the WordCamp Mumbai 2019 due to unavailability of a proper venue that could comfortably manage a huge audience. Hence we had to change the event dates from March to November, a lot of sponsors weren’t on board due to one reason or the other, which we wholeheartedly understand.
But now, we are facing some critical issues.
The only way to streamline these issues is by massively scaling down. It means we will be releasing only limited passes, due to less number of sponsors.
We need More Sponsors.
Sponsors, we understand there is a limited amount of time, but we still require your cooperation and would appreciate your confirmation at the earliest in order to help the organising team to run the event smoothly. Please understand and help us out in our critical time as a community.
With the addition of GST and lack of proper venue, and turning the WordCamp Mumbai 2019, into the 3-day event, it is becoming difficult for us to manage and that’s why this message.
We want your Support.
We made a collective decision of not cancelling this year because that would mean letting so many of you down, not to mention, all the volunteer’s hard work and efforts that go into making this event a success.
We didn’t want it to go waste.
It’s just a tough time and we are holding each other strong. All we want is to have our back.
Conclusion
Sponsors – Please consider sponsoring us and that too soon.
Attendees – Please buy passes soon, don’t wait, time is critical.
We will meet you at the WordCamp Mumbai 2019. Let’s come in strong numbers and show that no matter the obstacles we will always come through and make the WordCamp Mumbai a grand success. Maybe even better than before 🙂
